District 72 has received an offer for the purchase of Fairview North School, 5201 Howard St. The offer was made by the Cheder Lubavitch Hebrew Day School, which presently operates the school.
Fairview North Elementary School was sold for $2 million to Chicago Cheder Lubavitch Hebrew Day School, which plans to make the facility a permanent home.

In July, Fairview North Elementary School will become the home of the only Yiddish-language day school in the Chicago Metropolitan area. The Cheder Lubavitch Hebrew Day School will pay $2 million for the school located at 5201 Howard Street.
