George Travlos and Paul Wilm, Niles West students, are credited with saving the life of a school custodian by administering CPR until medical help arrived.
At a special board meeting on May 10 the salary schedule for custodial-maintenance, clerical, food services, and administrative personnel was increased.
Despite a call from a parent-teacher group for some explanation about Superintendent Kenneth Olsen's job security, the District 219 board has declined to comment on the issue.
